Spain's International Contemporary Art Fair opened its doors yesterday (currently open only to professionals and special guests). Since its inception, the fair has established itself as one of the leading showcases in the contemporary art market. This year, its 44th edition, ARCO is featuring the Amazon as the main theme of the event.
206 galleries from more than 36 countries, 1,300 artists, and more than 800 invited collectors and professionals. With these figures and an attendance of more than 95,000, ARCO continues to establish itself as the leading contemporary art fair in Europe, ahead of other international fairs such as Art Basel.
Its scope is such, both in terms of space and number of days—opening its doors from March 5th to 9th, inclusive—that attending can begin as an exciting experience and turn into an information overload. Therefore, if you're looking to appreciate conceptual, delicate, enigmatic, and carefully executed works of art, at CACO we've curated a selection of pieces to visit and enjoy for their use of color, along with their artists, galleries, and corresponding stands where you'll find them.
