If you're passionate about the world of interior design and decoration, you're probably already familiar with much of his career, or at least have come across his name on the AD100 list several times. But if you're not, his name may not resonate with your memory. But what if we tell you about the design and interior design of the Hermanos Vinagre establishments in Madrid, the Servicio Continuo restaurant at Av. Diagonal 353, or the premium charcuterie Colmado Múrria, both in Barcelona?
Cristina Carulla leads her studio from the Eixample neighborhood in the center of the Catalan capital. An architect, interior designer, and decorator, the team that makes up the firm and studio create a vision that seeks to capture in each space and design an aesthetic that intersects art, contemporary design, and traditional craftsmanship.
This ability to capture her influences is not arbitrary. Cristina Carulla trained in Interior Design at the prestigious Parsons The New School of Design in New York and moved to Mexico City for an extended period, where she developed comprehensive interior design projects and was part of the team of journalists and editors for the home section of Elle magazine.
Their exquisite work in the creation and renovation of comprehensive interior design, decoration, and furniture projects for both residential and commercial spaces has positioned the firm on the AD100 List for 2020, 2021, 2023, and 2025. This is not surprising to anyone familiar with their projects. They all combine color and modernity, creating spaces that follow a classic, elegant, and timeless aesthetic.
His statement It's clear. The studio seeks to "bring the classic into modernity, preserving its value through the tradition of materials and small details. Achieving the aesthetic stability of a heritage built to defy the passage of time."
If there's one thing the firm knows how to do, it's create warm and comfortable environments that invite you to inhabit them, following an aesthetic that transcends the limits of traditional design and seeks to immerse us in a world that feels current, accessible, and timeless.
Garden of Mirages: the concept of Surreal Nature
Garden of Mirages (literally translated as "A Garden of Mirages") is the first line of sculptures created by Cristina and her team. A total of five pieces bring to life the sculptural composition of works up to 2 meters tall, governed by their organic curves, abstract forms, and a proposal of vivid and transgressive colors that contrast with the established visual order.

Through art and design, the studio seeks to rethink the possibility of a surreal nature, but rather than mimicking the typical forms found within vegetation, Garden of Mirages offers its own dreamlike vision of nature.

The sculptures, available in a variety of sizes and colors, adapt to a variety of environments, including exhibitions, hotel lobbies, restaurants, retail spaces, fashion stores, event settings, and any other space where the imagination finds its greatest expression. Garden of Mirages has been created to adapt to all types of spaces, inviting you to observe and interact with them in a fun and beautiful way.
