Sculptor Marc Sparfel (1972, France) grew up in Brittany, where creativity and art were hidden only behind children's games. Thanks to the sea and the light, he discovered Barcelona as his home more than 20 years ago, and since then, wood and color have accompanied him in seemingly fragile yet present pieces that he brings to life in his workshop in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat.
From the "masks" made of wooden pieces from old furniture that the world discards—without paying attention to the cultural dispossession that this entails—to the Cubist-style Sculpture Families that, whether monochromatic or multi-colored, remind us of the importance of remaining faithful to our personal processes, even if it means breaking the norm.
